Contribute effectively to teachers’ planning and preparation of lessons Demonstrate a high level of inclusivity within working practice and actively seek to remove barriers to learning. Demonstrate a positive attitude with high levels of resilience. Have a passion for improving life outcomes for children from a disadvantaged background. Knowledge/Skills Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice. An understanding of curriculum matters and to be able to contribute effectively to curriculum development, planning, evaluation and implementation. In depth understanding of areas of learning, e.g. English, Maths, Science, SEND and Early Years. Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes. Ability to plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving. Effective use of ICT to support learning. Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people. Work constructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative. You will need a good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C and NVQ Level 3 minimum (Level 4 is desirable). Experience of working in a school setting is essential with experience of working to support children’s learning gained in a relevant environment or setting, have a proven track record of improving outcomes for young people.
