Due to continued success in securing new contracts and growth, OCU has exciting opportunities for experienced Distribution Cable Jointers to join our delivery team. Positions are available across Leeds, Sheffield, Lincolnshire, Stockton, and Hull.
This is a great opportunity to become part of an established and high-performing team within our Power division, working on our long-term NPG framework. We're particularly keen to hear from candidates who hold current NPG operational authorisations, though further development and training can be provided in-house.
Role Overview:
As a Jointer, you'll primarily work on LV, 11kV networks and Faults(subject to existing authorisations), delivering critical infrastructure safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform jointing operations, including connecting new and existing LV/11kV networks, installing and energising new Link Boxes, cut-out replacements, LV and HV Asset replacement, faults 24/7 and connecting new and existing LV/11kV customers and networks.
* Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with quality and technical specifications.
* Maintain a strong safety-first mindset—for yourself and those around you.
* Complete required documentation and update our digital work management systems.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Valid NPG operational authorisations (essential)
* Authorised to joint at LV and/or 11kV
* NRSWA accreditation
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail
