Vacancy for Barrister’s Clerk
Salary: dependent upon experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:25pm (1-hour lunch)
Holidays: 28 days per year including bank holidays

The Role
New Bailey Chambers is seeking a barrister’s clerk to join our busy clerking team based in Liverpool city centre. This is a role that requires a dynamic individual who can work well in a fast-paced environment.
The role will include management of barrister diaries and case administration, advising instructing solicitors on availability and suitability, practice management, fee negotiation, fee chasing, and liaising with clients and courts.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, manage priorities under pressure, work with accuracy, possess a flexible and pro‑active approach, have excellent communication skills and must work in a highly professional manner.
This position should suit applicants who are keen to embark on an interesting career in a barrister’s chambers and develop their skills.
Experience as a barrister’s clerk or similar position within the legal sector would be advantageous but not essential. An exceptional candidate can be provided with training.
