Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Department at Winchester Hospital for a Band 4 Therapy Practitioner.
We are looking for somebody who will be able to fulfill the following:

Main duties of the job
6. Ensuring therapy referrals are timely and appropriate
7. Ensuring patients with complex needs are escalated to qualified therapy staff
8. Collating relevant patient specific information
9. Carrying out basic assessments
10. Delivering therapy interventions and progressing patients with non-complex needs
11. Liaising closely with therapists, ward staff, patients, and their families
12. Support the ward team in achieving a basic knowledge and level of competence in rehab, through supervision and teaching
13. Ordering equipment when indicated
Participating as a member of the multi-disciplinary team assisting with the specified duties, taking responsibility for planning his/her own work duties and caseload.

16. Evidence of having attained or of working towards a recognised qualification (NVQ 3 level) to enable implementation of prescribed rehabilitation programmes for a range of conditions- eg foundation degree, NVQ relevant competency framework. Or gained through relevant experience.
