My client is a well-established, international entertainment business seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join their Finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to statutory reporting, audit leadership, and financial control within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise who enjoys ownership, accountability, and working cross-functionally across the business.
As Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in month-end close, statutory reporting, and audit delivery, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and strong financial controls across the UK entities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting and reviewing month-end close activities (journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
* Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and performing financial close analysis
* Preparing annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP / IFRS (UK entities)
* Leading local statutory audits and managing auditor relationships
* Ensuring compliance with Companies Act requirements and Group accounting policies
* Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
* Supporting improvements to financial controls, processes, and systems
* Partnering with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and international shared service teams
* Providing financial insight and analysis to support wider business operations
Your Background:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* 2+ years' post-qualified experience in financial reporting or a similar Financial Accountant role
* Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP / IFRS)
* Experience within a multi-entity or international environment
* Ideally exposure to listed or regulated environments
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
