We have an exciting opportunity for a Janitor to join our Voids and Planned Maintenance Team to help provide a safe, secure and clean environment for the tenants of our Housing with care and Housing with Support schemes. Key responsibilities include: Undertake simple maintenance and basic DIY activities in communal areas & properties Undertake, monitor and maintain Fire Safety checks, Health & Safety and security of the scheme. Undertake cleaning/window cleaning and general duties as required. Check all lighting and security features on the scheme Carry out legionella tests in empty properties on the schemes For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached Role Profile. Our ideal candidate will have/be: The ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team. Basic understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people. Numerate and able to keep stock records A clean full driving licence and use of own vehicle Basic DIY and maintenance skills An understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people. Willing to undertake mandatory training in COSHH and Fire Safety. The ability to communicate clearly and have a flexible approach to work. Please note this role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
