Harris Hill is delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a People Partner to join our client’s People and Culture team. Our client is a leading UK charity providing specialist care, rehabilitation, education and support to children and young people with complex disabilities. This role works closely with leaders and managers across the organisation to strengthen people management practices and foster a positive, supportive working environment. It is a permanent, full‑time position offering hybrid working, with three days per week based at the organisation’s office in Tadworth, Surrey.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Organisational Change Manager, the People Partner will provide expert HR partnering and coaching. Key responsibilities include:
* Advising on employee relations matters such as performance, conduct, attendance, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair policy application while focusing on wellbeing and engagement.
* Supporting organisational development initiatives, including change management, workforce planning, and implementation of people policies and systems.
* Collaborating with the People team to shape talent development, retention strategies, leadership capability, and workforce analysis, contributing to the organisation’s employee value proposition and culture.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced HR generalist with strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
* Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases and build trusted relationships with senior leaders and managers.
* Experience in performance management and working in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Confident communicator who can provide clear and pragmatic advice, even in challenging situations, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a busy People team.
* Strong organisational skills, sound judgement, high discretion, and a proactive approach to supporting organisational change.
* CIPD qualification or equivalent experience desirable.
