Location: Birmingham - MUST BE A DRIVER

Pay: TBC

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of Children and Young People? Do you possess excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Residential Support Worker For Children & Young People.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality care and support to adults with various needs, including behavioural support, mental health, non-verbal support and communication and learning difficulties.
2. Assist individuals with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, while promoting their independence and dignity.
3. Support clients in their daily activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals involved in their care.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

1. Must have minimum 6 months UK experience in working with Children and Young People.
2. Level 3 in Health and Social Care/ Level 3 in Residential Children Care is a must.
3. Previous experience in a similar role is essential. We welcome applications from individuals with a genuine passion for supporting Children and Young People.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with service users and their families.
5. Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature to provide emotional support to individuals facing various challenges.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic care environment.
7. Basic knowledge of using IT equipment, which is touch screen such as iPad, phones, having computer skills.
8. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is essential.
9. Up to date medication, moving and manual handling training.
10. Enhanced Adult and Child workforce DBS on the update service.
11. The successful applicant must have great communication skills to communicate effectively with a positive can-do attitude.
