Overview
Be the reason our customers feel truly cared for! Join EDF as an Energy Specialist and make a real difference every single day. Our Energy Specialists are at the heart of our transformation and helping us deliver net zero for our customers. The Opportunity: As an Energy Specialist, your role is pivotal to building strong relationships and innovative solutions to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You’ll own the customer journey, understand their needs, and work with them to find the best path forward so they feel part of the EDF family. We’ll train you on our new system and the ways we communicate with customers to deliver a high-quality experience. You’ll chat with customers over the phone and via digital channels (email/SMS), taking ownership of their needs and figuring things out together. You’ll support customers with account queries and collaborate with metering teams to schedule and prepare jobs.
We are recruiting Energy Specialists in two working patterns: Mon-Fri 8am–6pm, and Mon-Fri 8am–8pm plus Sat 8am–6pm (rotation). Full-time or part-time options are available (minimum 24 hours for part-time).
What you’ll be doing
* We want to make a fundamental difference to our customers and treat them the way you would want to be treated.
* Take full responsibility to deliver end-to-end customer service, trained in all key customer journeys so no query phases you; you’re able to help with any problem.
* Have ownership and the freedom to help customers in a way you’d want to be helped, working with them to achieve the best outcome.
* Handle customer contact in various forms – phone and digital – listening intently and resolving queries.
* Work seamlessly as part of a high-performing team and may support teammates or your manager with specific queries or activities to deliver amazing service.
* Be proactive in spotting areas to improve the customer experience and suggest solutions and improvements.
Who you are
* You're a people person who builds real connections and puts others at ease.
* You truly listen to what customers are saying (and sometimes what they’re not saying).
* You communicate clearly, kindly, and confidently on the phone, by email, or in a message.
* You’re a team player who believes the best results come from collaboration.
* You’re adaptable to change and can manage busy periods or new directions.
* When faced with a challenge, you roll up your sleeves and figure it out.
* You deliver the kind of service you’d want to receive yourself and take pride in getting things done.
* You’re self-directed and eager to learn and grow in your role.
If you’re resilient, able to work under pressure, and curious, we’d love you to apply.
