Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee operations within our hospitality and food service establishments in East & West Sussex. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising teams, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and managing daily operations to achieve organisational goals. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality service standards across multiple sites while fostering a positive working environment.
Duties
* Lead and supervise teams across various outlets, ensuring smooth daily operations
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
* Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor team performance
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Assist in training staff on culinary techniques, customer service, and health & safety protocols
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of supplies
* Implement operational policies to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction
* Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly
* Conduct regular inspections of premises to uphold cleanliness and safety standards
* Collaborate with senior management to develop strategies for business growth
Experience
* Proven managment experience within the hospitality or restaurant sector
* Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
* Previous experience in restaurant or hotel management is highly desirable
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
* Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations and compliance requirements
* Experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
