A leading advanced engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Tubes Engineer - Travelling Wave to join their team in Middlesex. This Tubes Engineer - Travelling Wave role in Middlesex will also support new product introduction, act as a technical authority across key product lines, and provide engineering input during bid and customer engagement processes. Role Responsibilities
* Design and develop high performance TWT systems to meet cost, quality, and timeline requirements
* Support feasibility studies, concept development, and bid stage technical input
* Develop mechanical designs aligned with DFMA principles for efficient manufacturing
* Ensure designs withstand environmental factors such as heat, vibration, and shock
* Support transition from design into production, ensuring manufacturability and repeatability
* Analyse product yield and drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Experience
* Strong experience in TWT or similar high power RF / microwave tube design
* Knowledge of electrical and RF testing methods
* Experience designing for manufacture and assembly within complex engineering environments
* Understanding of materials and processes within vacuum technology systems
* Experience working within production and manufacturing environments
