Role - UI/UX Designer Location - Hybrid, Remote and 2 days onsite in London Contract - Initial 6 months Rate - £450 to £500 per day Start - ASAP This role has been deemed Outside IR35. The Opportunity We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation in London to appoint an experienced UI/UX Designer. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern, business-critical web applications, shaping intuitive and accessible digital experiences. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and key stakeholders, contributing directly to the evolution of user-centric products used at scale. The Role As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for translating complex business and user requirements into clear, engaging, and accessible design solutions. Key responsibilities include: Working closely with Product Owners to understand business objectives, user needs, and functional requirements Designing intuitive, user-centred experiences for new and existing web applications within the financial services domain Producing high-quality wireframes, user journeys, visual designs, and interactive prototypes to support stakeholder engagement and approvals Enhancing and extending existing UI components to ensure consistency with established design systems and brand guidelines Collaborating with development teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented and meet WCAG accessibility standards Iterating designs in response to user feedback, data insights, and evolving business requirements Maintaining clear documentation covering design decisions, patterns, and usability considerations The Person You are an experienced UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio of work across modern web applications, ideally within regulated or complex environments. You will bring: Proven experience designing user-centred digital products across desktop and mobile platforms Strong practical knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles A solid understanding of UI/UX best practices, interaction design, and responsive design Hands-on experience using Figma (or similar tools) to create wireframes, visual designs, and interactive prototypes Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to clearly explain and justify design decisions Desirable experience includes: Background within financial services or other regulated industries High attention to detail and a strong eye for visual consistency Experience working in cross-functional agile teams A basic understanding of HTML and CSS, enabling effective collaboration with developers If you'd like to learn more, please apply through the advert and we will be in touch to discuss.
