Overview

As part of our commitment to expanding and diversifying our support work services, we are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity to join our thriving and dynamic SARSAS team as a Support Service Coordinator. We are looking for a highly organised, passionate and pro-active individual who will coordinate and further develop the delivery SARSAS specialist support across a wide geographical area.


Responsibilities

* Coordinate and develop the delivery of SARSAS specialist support across a wide geographical area, ensuring services are accessible, inclusive, and trauma-informed.
* Provide line management to a small team of Specialist Support Workers responsible for delivering support, including services for autistic people and people with learning disabilities.
* Work with the Support Service Manager to ensure the service operates efficiently, meets client needs, and satisfies funding requirements.
* Engage with local communities and stakeholders to develop and strengthen relationships, particularly in areas and communities that may be underrepresented in support.
* Act as the first point of contact for clients being offered specialist support and oversee allocation of suitable clients to Specialist Support Workers using knowledge of case and risk management and professional judgment.
* Coordinate and manage multiple waiting lists across a wide geographical area and maintain excellent administrative processes to manage a complex workload.
* Promote a voice of the client in service design and gather feedback to inform and shape services.


About you

* Confident and enthusiastic with a passion for supporting people who have experienced sexual violence.
* Experience working with people who have experienced trauma and navigating the complexities of working with individuals with multiple support needs.
* Enjoy working as part of a team and able to motivate, inspire, and support those you line manage and the wider team.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple waiting lists and a demanding workload, plus excellent administrative capabilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to respond calmly and compassionately in difficult situations.
* Self-aware, resilient, committed to personal wellbeing, and able to keep the voice of the client at the heart of the work.
* Ability to gather feedback to inform and shape services.


About SARSAS

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress and help rebuild the lives of victim-survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives. SARSAS campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative and enable survivors’ voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change. SARSAS works to feminist principles and operates with a trauma-informed approach that understands how traumatic experiences can impact survivors and keeps awareness of their effects at the forefront of support.

Contract Information

* Salary: £30,085 per annum (full time equivalent)
* Hours: 30 hours per week
* Location: Bristol (with some travel across Avon and Somerset) up to 2 days per week working from home
* Contract: Permanent
* Responsible to: Support Services Manager
* Pension: 5% employer pension contribution
* Annual leave: 27 days plus bank holidays per year (full time equivalent)
