Specialty Doctor in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia

University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for an experienced Specialty Doctor to join its anaesthesiology team, part of the Surgical & Critical Care Directorate, consisting of a 7‑theatre main operating suite and a 2‑theatre day unit. The department provides anaesthesia for general surgery, major ENT, head and neck, urology, vascular access, OMFS and dental services, and manages a 10‑bedded Level II/III ICU that admits approximately 600 patients per year and 6 Level I surgical beds with 200 admissions per year.
Responsibilities
* Provide general anaesthesia in the main theatre and day‑surgery unit.
* Deliver critical care services, including out‑of‑hours work.
* Balance critical care and anaesthesia duties according to preference and service needs.
* Dedicate time for developing a special interest, such as Simulation, quality improvement or clinical research.
