Job Description
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
Job Purpose
The Contract Coordinator will facilitate and coordinate with hospital departments to identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure compliance. The role also involves investigating incident reports, patient complaints, patient care issues, and other concerns as requested by the Chief Medical Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain oversight and responsibility for performance objectives set by OVP Health for the hospital contract.
2. Ensure chart completion and timely filing of medical charts.
3. Coordinate and assist medical directors in daily functions, including administrative duties.
4. Cultivate and maintain a positive and collaborative environment.
5. Act as liaison with hospital departments regarding OVP Health Providers and new hires.
6. Coordinate with the hospital QI program to meet patient, staff, and external agency needs.
7. Provide QI leadership and consultative services to hospital administration and OVP Health providers to achieve regulatory accreditation and organizational compliance.
8. Organize, compile, and report QI data to identify trends, set priorities, and recommend improvements.
9. Perform comprehensive, concurrent, and retrospective reviews using criteria approved by OVP Health BOD.
10. Serve as a member of the hospital's quality council and attend relevant meetings to ensure QI plan implementation and compliance.
11. Stay updated on JCAHO standards and other accreditation standards, and latest healthcare quality techniques.
12. Conduct patient rounds as needed.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage all employees within the department, including performance management and hiring.
Qualifications/Education
* Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field.
* Two years of healthcare experience in clinical or non-clinical settings.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Ability to access the internet at home.
* RN degree with healthcare administration background and/or Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration.
* At least two years of healthcare experience, including one year in a medical/surgical setting.

* Strong reasoning, judgment, problem-solving, and leadership skills, including motivation, team building, accountability, coaching, and counseling.
* Mathematical aptitude for budgeting, funding, and cost-benefit analysis.
Travel
This position requires 30% travel by auto.
Physical Demands
* Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
* Ability to work in a multi-level facility without mechanical transportation.
* Regularly talk and hear.
* Operate a computer and keyboard.
