Senior Engineer - Structures (Highways) Location: London / Birmingham / Manchester Rate: £50-60 per hour | Inside IR35 Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, flexible hybrid working About the Role We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join a Structures Team delivering major highways projects across the UK. This role involves managing the delivery of technical outputs for multiple projects, ensuring design quality, compliance with standards, and overall technical excellence. Key Responsibilities ·Lead and deliver technical outputs for projects, including scheme investigation, detailed design, and construction supervision. ·Act as Lead Designer, reviewing and authorising design deliverables (drawings, specifications, reports, and contract documents). ·Conduct inspections, assessments, and feasibility studies of highway and bridge structures. ·Mentor and develop junior engineers, technicians, and graduates. ·Contribute to technical excellence, innovation, and value engineering across the team. ·Ensure compliance with company management systems, Health & Safety, and risk management processes. ·Maintain strong relationships within project teams and stakeholders.
