Raytheon UK is seeking an experiencedHardware Engineer to join our successful Assured Position,Navigation, and Timing (APNT) team within the Global SensorsMission Area. This role involves creating Digital GPS Anti-JamSystems for the military market. Based at Raytheon's Harlowfacility, with a weekly hybrid split working model, you'll reportdirectly to the APNT Digital Hardware EngineeringLead.
MainDuties:
* Schematicgeneration, PCB design, component selection, evaluation, andverification.
* Collaboration with systemengineers and embedded software engineers on electronic subsystemarchitectures.
* Development of requirementsensuring compliance with relevantstandards.
* Generation of supporting designdocumentation and conducting regular technicalreviews.
CandidateRequirements:
Essential:
* Experiencewith embedded digital electronics, FPGAs, and microprocessorsystems.
* Proficiency in designing PCBsconforming to defense engineeringstandards.
* Clear presentation of technicalinformation and demonstrable problem-solvingskills.
* Openness to learning new techniques andability to adapt in a dynamic workenvironment.
* Eligible or holder of current SCsecurityclearance.
Desirable:
* Familiaritywith the Xilinx chip family and experience using Mentor XpeditionPCB design tool.
* Understanding of systemsengineering approach across the design and development lifecycle.
* Experience creating DO254 compliantelectronic systems and knowledge of APNT systemsdomain
