Unqualified Teaching Assistants Needed in The Wirral!

New Directions Education is on the lookout for enthusiastic unqualified teaching assistants to join our dedicated team in The Wirral area! If you have experience working with children in educational settings, or through activities such as Brownies, Rainbows, Scouts, sports coaching, or child support work, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
– Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
– Assist in managing classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive learning environment.
– Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
– Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
– Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:
– Experience working with children, whether in an educational or similar setting.
– A genuine passion for supporting young learners and helping them succeed.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
– No formal qualifications required, but a commitment to professional development is essential.

Job Specification

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

1. NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
2. NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
3. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
4. CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
5. BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

Jobs in additional learning needs (ALN)

A large number of our jobs are in ALN and we fill many vacancies in schools with candidates who have particular experience in working with children classified as having:

6. Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
7. Dyslexia
8. Dyspraxia
9. Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
10. Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
11. Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
12. Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
13. Severe Learning Difficulties
14. Physical Disabilities (PD).

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:

15. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
16. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
17. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
18. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
19. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
