The apprenticeship is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
* Assisting in the food preparation process
* Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
* Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
* Assisting other Chefs
* Helping with deliveries and restocking
* Assisting with stock rotation
* Cleaning stations
* Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
Finding the right balance between your work and your lifestyle is important. With a Commis Chef apprenticeship, your shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends. Consider your home and family commitments to choose a career that maintains a healthy work-life balance.
The apprenticeship lasts 12 months, during which you will work towards your Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship.
No experience is necessary, and you will receive full on-the-job training. You will also receive at least 30 hours of paid work per week, 25 days paid holiday, and discounts in our pubs and high street shops.
You will be paid hourly with a share of the tips.
