We’re looking for a proactive Shift Machine Technican to support and optimise our production equipment during shift operations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of machine performance, ensuring maximum uptime, efficient changeovers, and continuous improvement across the line.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on technical support across all production areas
* Ensure quick and efficient equipment setup, changeovers, and breakdown response
* Lead and optimise maintenance programmes to maximise equipment uptime
* Implement improvements to increase machine efficiency and output
* Minimise changeover times through training, procedures, and equipment modifications
* Respond rapidly to breakdowns and eliminate root causes of recurring issues
* Support new equipment and product introductions with technical documentation and validation
* Maintain compliance with GMP and regulatory standards through accurate documentation
Qualifications
* Experience in production or manufacturing engineering roles
* Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement techniques
* Ability to optimise changeovers and drive efficiency (e.g. SMED)
* Proven skills in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
* Understanding of GMP, MHRA, and BSI requirements
* Excellent communication and collaboration across teams
* Ability to support new equipment and product launches from a technical perspective
* Engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on technical experience
