Landscape Gardeners
Full-time positions available on both our Landscaping and Garden Maintenance Teams
Salary £26,500 to £35,000 depending on experience, including paid holidays
8 hour working day, Monday to Friday
Start date: as soon as possible
CJ Armstrong Landscaping and Groundwork is based in Hambleden, near Henley-on-Thames. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our expanding team to continue to create and maintain gardens and estates in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
If you have experience in any (or all) of these areas, then great. Most importantly, it's about learning on the job
Desired Experience
· Hard and soft landscape gardening, garden maintenance, grounds keeping, or similar
· Proficiency with power tools commonly used in gardening and landscape work: lawn mowers, ride on mowers, hedge cutters, cement mixers, etc
· Plant knowledge, growth patterns, care requirements, etc
· Must enjoy working with a small friendly team, and independently when required
· Happy to work outdoors in all seasons
· Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of time
· Hold a clean UK driving licence
Example Responsibilities
· Planting and maintaining of flower beds, and trees: pruning and trimming trees and bushes, mulching, edging, weeding, monitoring and maintaining the health of plants, dealing with pests and diseases
· Mow, scarify and feed lawns, turfing
· Hedge cutting
· Fencing/Gates (garden and agricultural)
· Paving, laying cobbles and decking, brickwork for patios, pathways and driveways
· Groundwork and drainage
· Garden buildings: shed bases, sheds, summer houses
