MannaCare is a community based not-for-profit organisation which supports older people living in the Eastern region. MannaCare provides and maintains a range of services, including Residential Aged Care and Community Care.
Doncaster Rehabilitation Services (DRS) provides allied health and therapy services that assist older people to regain or maintain physical, functional and cognitive abilities, thereby facilitating them to remain living in the community.
Due to growth in the community services area, we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated podiatrist to join our DRS Service area, in a permanent Part Time position. You’ll be responsible for providing on-site as well as in home podiatry services for older clientele (65+) with a variety of health conditions.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting our clients maintain their independence, you will work with various funding bodies, including Home Care Packages, CHSP, and privately funded clients. You will be performing comprehensive musculoskeletal, diabetic and general nail care assessments. Provide treatments including nail care, skin care, diabetic foot assessments, and pressure care. Assess footwear and confidently prescribe appropriate alternatives as appropriate.
You will need the following:
* Tertiary qualification in Podiatry and current AHPRA practising certificate.
* Experience in Home Care/Aged Care
* Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
* Ability to work with a diverse range of clients, with a focus on holistic, client-centred practice and quality control
* Current Victorian Driver's licence
* Fluency in a language in addition to English highly regarded
