A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Oxford team. This role offers the opportunity to take a key leadership position within a well-respected cost management practice, working across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing commercial delivery, providing strategic cost advice, and supporting the continued development of the regional team. You'll work closely with directors and clients to deliver best-in-class service across sectors including retail, commercial, residential, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of cost management services from feasibility through to final account. Oversee the preparation of tender and contract documentation, procurement, valuations, and cost reporting. Manage and mentor junior surveyors, supporting their technical and professional development. Provide robust commercial advice to clients, supporting decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Chair key commercial meetings and liaise with contractors and stakeholders. Administer contracts (JCT and NEC) and ensure best practice in risk, value, and cost management. Contribute to business development and support the regional leadership team. Candidate Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Minimum 6 years' experience, ideally within a consultancy environment. Strong technical background and leadership experience across multiple sectors. Excellent understanding of JCT and NEC contracts. Confident communicator with proven client-facing experience. MRICS qualified (or working towards chartership).
