We are currently recruiting a GFS Head of Finance Process & Systems to join our Global Finance Services (GFS) leadership team. As a key member of the GFS leadership team, this role provides strategic leadership and governance across Serco’s end-to-end Finance processes and global Finance systems landscape. You will own a single, accountable framework that brings together process excellence, technology enablement and transformation delivery, driving global standardisation, strong financial control and continuous improvement, and enabling a scalable, compliant and future-ready Finance function that supports Serco’s ambition to be the best-managed business in its sector. You will bring together process design, systems enablement and transformation delivery to ensure strong financial control, consistency and scalability across the Finance function. What you’ll be doing • Owning and setting the global Finance Process and Systems strategy aligned to Serco’s Finance operating model and transformation roadmap • Providing end-to-end ownership of Finance process design, governance and standardisation across all regions • Leading governance for Finance systems, including change control, configuration, access management and segregation of duties • Ensuring Finance processes and systems support strong financial control, audit readiness and regulatory compliance • Leading global Finance transformation initiatives, including ERP upgrades, automation and cross-system integration • Acting as the senior point of escalation for Finance process and systems matters across GFS and Group Finance • Working closely with Group Finance, Finance Operations and DDaT to ensure alignment between process, systems and data • Leading and developing Global Process Owners, Process Leads and Finance Systems and Transformation teams What you’ll need to do the job • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience • Senior leadership experience across Finance process, Finance systems or Finance transformation in a large, complex organisation • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Finance processes such as Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay or FP&A • Experience owning or leading Finance systems, including ERP environments (SAP preferred) and integrated Finance platforms • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, audit and risk management • Proven experience delivering large-scale Finance transformation or systems change programmes • Ability to operate credibly with senior Finance and Technology stakeholders at Group and divisional level • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams What we offer • A competitive six-figure base salary • Bonus potential of up to 50% • A long-term incentive plan • A company car or car allowance (£9,000) • Private medical cover for you and a partner • 25 days’ holiday • The opportunity to play a key role in a major Finance transformation for a complex FTSE 250 business About Serco At Serco, not only is the nature of the work we do important, everyone has an important role to play, from caring for vulnerable people to managing complex public services.
