Senior Lecturer (Pharmacology and Biomedical Sciences) (SS13688) - Bath, BA2 7AYAbout the roleWe are seeking to appoint an experienced, teaching-focused Senior Lecturer (grade 9) to contribute to the academic leadership across pharmacology and biomedical sciences, supporting the alignment of curricula and the development of shared teaching approaches. This appointment represents a key opportunity to enhance the sustainability and coherence of both programmes.This job purpose can be summarised as follows:To contribute to leadership in the design, development and delivery of pharmacology and biomedical sciences teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to contribute to strategic curriculum enhancement.To plan and deliver taught programmes of education and support student learning at undergraduate and postgraduate level (as appropriate). This will include preparation of teaching material, lectures, tutorials, laboratory classes assessment and marking of coursework.About youA collegiate, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a commitment to excellence in higher education and providing a high-quality experience for our studentsDemonstrable depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular pharmacology and/or immunologyLeadership experience and expertise in designing, leading, and reviewing units, ensuring high-quality, research-informed teaching.A strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, mirroring the University’s values.About the departmentThe Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath has over 90 academic staff across a broad range of disciplines including, pharmacology, biochemistry, cell & developmental biology, evolution, genetics, immunology microbiology, pharmaceutical pharmacy and structural biology.
