Head of Procurement & Supply Chain – Manufacturing / FMCG
Location: Office-based (North London / Hertfordshire)
Salary: up to £65,000

A leading manufacturer of globally distributed consumer products is seeking a commercially driven Head of Procurement & Supply Chain. This hands‑on leadership role covers end-to-end supply chain: forecasting, planning (MRP/MPS), procurement, inbound logistics, inventory, and supplier performance. You’ll own the data and parameters that drive the plan and be responsible for delivering service, cost, and working‑capital improvements.
The Role
* Lead S&OP process and convert demand into a clear, time‑phased supply plan
* Own MRP/MPS setup and parameters in Microsoft Business Central
* Manage procurement strategy, supplier performance, and cost control
* Oversee inbound logistics, customs, and freight
* Improve inventory accuracy, stock turns, and aged stock exposure
* Support NPD through sourcing, feasibility checks, and vendor onboarding
* Rationalise SKUs and manage slow‑mover actions
* Maintain clean master data (items, BOMs, vendors, routings)
* Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, NPD, and Ops to align supply with demand
* Build and lead a small supply chain team with clear processes and accountability
What You’ll Need
* 7 years in supply chain or procurement within manufacturing or FMCG
* Advanced knowledge of MRP/MPS and ERP systems (ideally Business Central)
* Strong track record in supply planning, supplier negotiation, and logistics
* Confident with Excel and data‑driven decision‑making
* Commercially sharp and comfortable challenging assumptions constructively
* Experience with Amazon or other retail/e‑commerce channels is a plus
