Role
Victor Manufacturing are seeking an experienced, proactive, flexible and reliable individual to join our joinery and contracts specials team in the role of Woodshop Working Supervisor.
Responsibilities
* Supervising effectively and proactively the staff in your department to ensure the prioritisation of workloads, maintenance of quality standards, safe systems of working and identifying any training needs.
* Supervising and working alongside the joinery department, to ensure work is carried out on time, safely, cost effective and to the highest of standards.
* Carrying out installations of bespoke counter systems and special products across the UK when required.
* Attending the daily production meetings, fully prepared and contributing where required, to ensure deadlines are met.
* Liaising with the estimating and purchasing departments for material requisitions.
* Ensuring all Health and Safety protocols and procedures are adhered to at all times including safe systems of work, correct use of PPE, maintenance of equipment and the reporting of accidents and near misses.
* Organising and overseeing the inspection and servicing of all woodshop machinery.
* Assisting with the inductions and training of new staff.
* Leading all supervisory meetings, when required, including appraisals, return to work interviews, performance reviews etc.
* Seeking continuous individual and departmental improvements.
The Candidate
In addition to joinery and supervisory experience, the successful candidate must be hardworking, knowledgeable, have good interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to seeking continuous departmental improvements.
Requirements
* Joinery Experience – Essential
* Supervisory experience – Essential
* Experience of programming and operating 5 axis CNC routers – Beneficial
* Full UK driving licence – Essential
* CSCS card (in date) – Desirable
Hours of Work
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Mon to Thurs)
7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Friday) (39 standard hours per week).
