 
        
        Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location:
West Midlands, West Midlands, Walsall
Job Type:
Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours. No hybrid working
Rate:
£ - £ Per day
Job Duties:
 1. Manage all financial aspects of a light civils project
 2. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects
 3. Conduct risk assessments and advise on contractual matters
 4. Monitor and report on project financial progress
 5. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
 6. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
Required Qualifications:
 7. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
 8. RICS or CIOB accreditation
 9. Strong analytical and numerical skills
 10. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Education:
 11. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Experience:
 12. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying
 13. Experience in managing commercial projects in civils sector.
Knowledge and Skills:
 14. Proficiency in construction contracts and procurement processes
 15. Advanced knowledge of construction technology and materials
 16. Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and Quantity Surveying software
Preferred Qualifications:
 17. Chartered status with RICS or CIOB
 18. Postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
Working Conditions:
 19. Office / site based
 20. Regular working hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
