Role Overview
The Territory Support Specialist (TSS) provides high-level clinical and technical support for structural heart implant procedures (TAVI) across assigned UK territories. Working closely with the Territory Sales Manager, the TSS is responsible for pre-case imaging review, valve preparation, device loading, sizing, delivery, and real-time procedural support in cath labs and operating theatres.
This role enables safe and effective use of the company’s structural heart technologies, supports physician training, drives case adoption, and improves patient outcomes. The TSS also coordinates customer engagement activities, supports territory planning, and provides valuable field feedback to cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Technical Support
* Provide hands-on support during TAVI implant procedures, including:
* Pre-case CT imaging review
* Valve preparation, loading, and sizing
* Deployment support and technical troubleshooting
* Deliver on-site product training to physicians, cath lab staff, and hospital teams.
* Maintain advanced knowledge of aortic valve disease, structural heart therapies, and procedural workflows.
* Assist clinicians with patient selection and procedural planning.
Territory & Sales Collaboration
* Partner with the Territory Sales Manager to support adoption and expansion of the implant base.
* Coordinate clinical and commercial activities in accounts to drive territory growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and structural heart teams.
Imaging & Case Screening
* Review CT imaging and use 3D reconstruction tools such as 3mensio or OsiriX to identify potential TAVI candidates.
* Translate imaging insights into procedural recommendations.
Market & Product Insight
* Capture field feedback and clinical insights for Marketing and R&D teams.
* Identify product improvement opportunities and market trends based on physician feedback.
Operational Excellence
* Support product ordering, replacement processes, and account operational needs.
* Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, field-based role.
* Travel up to 80% across the assigned geography.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience in medical devices, structural heart, or hospital-based acute care.
* Strong vascular procedural knowledge and experience supporting interventional cardiology or TAVI procedures.
* Proven experience supporting live cases in cath lab/OR environments.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and physician-facing skills.
* Strong analytical ability and clinical problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with 3D imaging reconstruction software (3mensio, OsiriX, similar).
* Strong competence in MS Office and clinical digital tools.
* Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (preferred).
Desirable Skills
* Experience working with cross-functional commercial teams.
* History of conference presentations or peer-reviewed publications.
* Understanding of product development feedback cycles.

Rejection Criteria
The role is not suitable for candidates who:
* Lack structural heart or vascular procedural experience.
* Have minimal cath lab/OR exposure.
* Have no experience supporting implants or complex procedures.
* Cannot travel extensively.
* Come solely from commercial/sales backgrounds without strong clinical depth.
