Reporting to the Head of Retail Europe, the Retail Manager plays a key role within the Retail Leadership team, providing strategy, guidance and direction to all UK and Ireland stores. Based out of the WIP office in Clerkenwell, London. They will work closely with other departments, including Merchandising, Visual and the wider Retail team, to ensure UK retail strategy is aligned with the direction of the business. Key Responsibilities Direct Management of all Store Managers, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, daily support, operations and management. Conduct regular store visits to assess and implement local strategies, making data driven decisions to address challenges. Define and implement strategic objectives for Store Managers in alignment with company leadership, setting both qualitative and quantitative goals to drive success. Analyse key retail performance indicators (KPIs), leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimise sales performance, and enhance overall store efficiency. Ensure an outstanding customer experience by coordinating store activities and fostering a dynamic retail environment that prioritises service excellence. Work closely with HR to ensure that employee relations and workforce management requirements are met. Stay up to date with retail systems and tools, coordinating training initiatives to empower sales teams and enhance operational effectiveness. Guide and lead stock takes, develop action plans with management and stores to improve results. Support and orchestrate all operational activities related to the opening, renovation and closing of any stores. Manage essential administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and effective documentation of key retail processes, delegating where appropriate. Nationwide travel will be required, with periodic trips to Dublin Occasional international travel will be required Business Management Execute and drive the company's strategic initiatives, ensuring business objectives are met through effective planning and operational excellence. Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Visual Merchandising, Retail Merchandising, and other relevant departments to align efforts and achieve company-wide goals. Identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions, optimising retail performance, efficiency, and customer experience. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company in all interactions and fostering strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and business partners. Your Profile Proven experience in retail management and leadership, with a strong ability to generate improvements in sales and optimisation. Strategic leadership and management skills, demonstrated with a track record of successfully leading teams to grow, improving team performance and sales. Deep knowledge and interest in the brand world, with a keen eye on trends and strategies. Able to work independently and operate autonomously whilst engaging with internal teams for support and alignment. Willingness to travel. Based in London, or within a commutable distance, or willing to relocate.
