Cover Supervisor – Secondary School – High Peak
Location: High Peak
Pay: £89 – £100 per day

A well-regarded secondary school in High Peak is looking for a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to manage classrooms during teacher absences. This role is crucial to maintaining a calm and productive learning atmosphere and supporting the continuity of education for pupils.
Responsibilities:
* Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, following lesson plans and instructions provided
* Managing pupil behaviour to ensure a safe and respectful environment
* Assisting pupils with tasks and maintaining engagement throughout lessons
* Reporting any behavioural or safeguarding concerns promptly to senior staff
* Providing feedback on pupil engagement and any issues arising during cover lessons
* Supporting the wider school community by assisting with exam invigilation, registration, or other duties as required
Candidate Profile:
* Experience working with secondary school pupils, ideally in a supervisory or classroom support role
* Excellent classroom management skills and confidence in enforcing school policies
* Strong organisational skills and ability to adapt to different subjects and groups quickly
* Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
* Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school setting
* Ability to maintain authority while building positive relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
