Hunter Gatherer AHP have x2 very exciting locum opportunities based with an NHS run hospital service, located in Essex (please enquire for exact locations), for several Locum ACT Band 4/5 Pharmacy Technicians (community experienced applicants welcome to apply!) to join inpatients dispensary team from June/July onwards, on ongoing contracts up to 3-6 months! The ACT qualficiation is required for this role.
PLEASE NOTE – some form of previous hospital experience is desireable, however not an outright necessity, so community experienced Pharmacy Technicians are also welcome to apply as training will be provided here! There is free parking available on site. This is a fantastic chance for career progression at speed, as training will be provided across the various dispensary aspects of the role depending on your skill set. Those with hospital experience will be able to jump right in, and those without will be trained to complete inpatient wards and dispensary cover!
The role will be to accuracy check in the dispensary of the hospital, as well as assist with dispensing too, and there will be a chance to undertake some MMT ward based working here too, depending on how quickly you progress!
The working pattern will be either 8am - 4pm OR 9am – 5pm (30 mins lunch break) Monday – Friday, there will be no on call or weekend working needed. For the right applicant, part time working may be considered (3 – 4 days per week).
Applicants must have some form of pharmacy experience, whether from the community or hospital sector, as well as being a qualified ACT. As seen above, prior Hospital experience is NOT a must here, so it offers the chance for a Pharmacy Technician to break into the hospital sector, and kick start their hospital career!
These services are seeking cover immediately (June/July 2024), and the roles will be a contract length of up to 3-6 months, long term!
