Title: Data Analyst - Capital Appropriations Analyst
Location: Chester, UK (Hybrid 50%)
Client: Leading Pharmaceutical Company
Type: 12 months contract - full time
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and track capital appropriation requests (CARs), ensuring timely approvals and accurate documentation.
* Monitor actual spend versus projections to maintain effective budget oversight.
* Follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely financial settlement.
* Oversee the setup of new assets for both financial reporting and operational needs.
* Coordinate the capitalization of assets in line with internal policies and accounting standards.
* Address and resolve invoice discrepancies by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
* Maintain detailed records of workflows, transactions, and communications.
* Work cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to improve processes and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Requirements
* Experience in finance, accounting, asset management, or a related discipline.
* Experience with CAR (capital appropriation requests) processes is advantageous.
* Background in tracking actual spend vs. projections and handling outstanding payments or invoice disputes.
* Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
