MEP Contracts Manager
Location: Essex
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + Package (dependant on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing MEP contractor delivering complex M&E packages across commercial, student accommodation, residential and refurbishment projects.
Reporting to the Directors, you will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for the successful delivery of concurrent projects ensuring excellence in safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior delivery role with autonomy and responsibility across the project lifecycle, from pre-construction coordination through to handover. This role offers a mix of site leadership, commercial influence and strategic oversight.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the delivery of multiple projects including high-value schemes such as £9m+ MEP packages on student accommodation and refurbishment programmes.
* Own contract performance, programme delivery, commercial management, risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement across sites.
* Drive proactive planning and coordination with clients, supply chain, consultants and internal teams to ensure integrated delivery.
* Chair regular project meetings, report progress to senior stakeholders and maintain accurate contract reporting.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
* Mentor and lead site teams to deliver efficient execution and a high standard of workmanship.
Experience & Skills
* Project Management or Contracts Management experience within the M&E sector ideally with both mechanical and electrical exposure.
* Proven track record of managing substantial projects concurrently
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost-control, cashflow forecasting, risk management and contractual obligations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and influence clients/supply chain.
* Thorough understanding of construction contracts forms, H&S regulations, quality systems and BIM coordination.
* Logical thinker with a solutions-focused mindset and commitment to collaborative delivery.
