Cloud Director - Sales Leadership - Private Sector
At KPMG, you will bring your industry knowledge and technology experience to map customer business challenges to on-premise and cloud technology solutions, shape end-to-end transformational journeys, and deliver real business value to our key corporate clients. In this role, you will be part of some very exciting client engagements, lead pre-sales activities/proposals, and be responsible for delivering our portfolio of technology solutions, whilst maintaining deep executive-level client relationships.
As part of this leadership role, you will also inherently lead our teams, coach and mentor junior members, and contribute to our go-to-market activities by building the KPMG brand and being visible as a leading advisor within our clients, the market, and our alliance partners.
The Cloud Director role will have the following responsibilities:
1. Be visible and recognized as an expert in cloud transformation (including Hybrid & Multi-cloud) by the market and alliance partners.
2. Contribute to developing our financial services market growth in cloud transformation, with market-facing propositions and assets, building both the KPMG and your personal brand.
3. Build close relationships and become a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders at financial services clients, focusing on business challenges, cloud transformation, and their overall technology journey.
4. Lead business development opportunities in the financial services market by shaping and selling complex advisory and implementation services around cloud transformation.
5. Organize, monitor, and lead program delivery, outcomes, and resources in large transformation programs.
6. Design and develop roadmaps, strategies, transformation plans, and high-quality assets for cloud solutions, collaborating with delivery managers, sales teams, and senior client stakeholders.
7. Contribute to our broader capability group by developing new services and nurturing our people.
The Person
1. Excellence in consulting skills, with the ability to present complex solutions to business executives. Experience in a large consulting organization is a plus.
2. Proven business development experience, including leading client proposals and RFPs for cloud transformation and migration projects.
3. Ability to build deep trusted advisor relationships with C-level stakeholders to guide their cloud journey.
4. Experience with application migrations, including target selection, infrastructure sizing, costing, and familiarity with migration tools.
5. Knowledge of at least one: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, microservices, APIs, containers, cloud data models, cloud integration, and migration patterns like rehost, refactor, rearchitect.
6. Experience working in regulated environments with a strong understanding of operational resilience best practices.
7. Track record leading advisory engagements for complex large-scale cloud transformations.
8. Broad understanding of infrastructure, network, database, cloud operating models, risks, controls, security, DevOps, Agile, and cloud testing for platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google.
9. Ability to shape long-term, complex cloud journeys encompassing a full range of cloud capabilities.
10. Proven success in exceeding sales and profitability targets in consulting.
11. Outstanding interpersonal skills to inspire teams and develop client relationships.
12. A growth mindset for business development and influencing senior stakeholders.
