Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the picturesque village of Lymm, Cheshire. The home cares for 66 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care, providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful program of activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are selected for their warmth and passion, undergo full induction, and receive ongoing training from in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD by CQC in all domains. We employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, paying all staff at least the national living wage.
We are seeking a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparations for residents and visitors. We offer a 35-hour contract at an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekends.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Assist with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
2. Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to schedules.
3. Maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP legislation.
4. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
5. Undertake daily pot washing duties.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills are essential.
4. A willingness to learn is essential.
5. No formal qualifications are required; training and development will be provided.
