Compliance Administrator | Wigan | Permanent - Full Time | Highly competitive salary
Recruiting for a well-established chartered accountants based in Wigan, who due to continued expansion throughout the business are now looking to hire on a permanent full-time basis for an experienced Compliance Administrator. Standard working pattern for this position is fully office-based Monday to Friday working 37.5 hours, with full flexibility on start and finish times between 8am and 6pm, e.g., 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm.
What the role will entail
As Compliance Administrator, you will work as part of an administration team, proactively managing your own tasks, collaborating with others, and communicating regularly with managers, senior managers, directors, and partners to ensure efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Onboarding process of new clients
2. Manage letters of engagement process
3. Compliance training requirements
4. Assist administration team with ad-hoc tasks
5. Reception cover when required (daily lunch cover and holiday cover) AML
6. Implement and maintain effective compliance administration
7. Shape internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements
8. Collaborate with internal teams to assess risk
9. Conduct compliance audits and cold file reviews
10. Handle and report suspicious activity
11. Assist with regulatory inspections and external assessments
12. Review engagement letters for completeness
To be successful
Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar administrative role. Essential skills include:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills
4. High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
5. A proactive team member
6. Knowledge of CreditSafe and DocuSign is desirable
