Sterile Services Process Technician - Decontamination (Permanent Nights)

Tiverton Hospital Sterile Services Unit, EX16 6SR | Permanent | Full Time

From £25,038 – £25,800 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Nights + 30% enhancement (Monday to Friday 22:00pm – 06:00am)

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. The role involves dismantling, preparing and sterilising reusable medical instruments for patient care.

As a Sterile Services Process Technician at Tiverton HSSU you will:

• Dismantle and prepare and sterilise medical instruments for theatre surgery
• Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order
• Check medical equipment for damage and report faults
• Work with a friendly team
• Take on training as required
• Be computer literate
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Take action to resolve problems
• Escalate issues where necessary
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures
• Handle manual handling duties up to 13 kg
• Pay strong attention to detail and deliver high quality service
