APAC Payroll Partner (12‑Month FTC)

Our client is a prominent financial services organisation with a global footprint and a strong reputation for operational excellence. As part of a period of investment within the HR function, the business is seeking an experienced APAC Payroll Partner to manage end‑to‑end payroll operations for the region.
Working closely with an outsourced global payroll provider, this role will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely delivery across multiple jurisdictions. It is a highly visible position where you will support key stakeholders, uphold regional regulatory standards, and contribute to ongoing improvements across global payroll processes. This 12‑month fixed‑term contract offers the opportunity to play a critical role within a complex, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full payroll cycle for multiple APAC jurisdictions through a global outsourced payroll provider.
* Act as the primary point of contact for regional payroll queries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency of service.
* Oversee monthly payroll submissions, reconciliation, data validation, and sign‑off processes.
* Partner with HR, Finance, and in‑country teams to resolve issues, implement updates, and maintain regulatory compliance.
* Support process optimisation, controls, and documentation relating to global payroll governance.
* Monitor legislative changes across APAC markets and work with the provider to ensure timely implementation.
Candidate Profile
* Demonstrable track record managing international payrolls specifically across the APAC region.
* Experience working with a large‑scale global payroll provider is essential.
* Strong technical understanding of regional payroll legislation and multi‑country compliance requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across HR and Finance.
* Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, matrixed global organisation.
