As a key part of the Insurance team and supporting the Senior Insurance Manager, you will support the placement and management of Wood’s global insurance programme that is aligned to Wood’s strategic priorities. The role will support the business globally on all aspects of insurable risk including its identification and analysis across varying business activities, commercial contract and policy review in respect of tender process and will assist in promoting Wood in the insurance market as a risk conscious organisation. You will have influence over insurance renewal process, negotiations, claims management and business unit response to insurable risk. This position is open to both hybrid and remote working. Expected: Degree qualified preferably risk, finance or legal related Further professional postgraduate insurance qualification (e.g. ACII, FCII, IRM) or currently progressing towards In-depth insurance experience within an inhouse insurance / risk management role(s) or with an insurance broker or risk management organisation Technical insurance expertise particularly casualty / liability classes including professional indemnity / liability insurance ideally in respect of engineering, design, construction risks Experience of commercial insurance claims including Non-UK and North America claims Knowledge of liability driven multi-national insurance programmes and understanding of key regulatory and transfer pricing implications thereof Use of captive insurance as a part of risk financing strategy Detailed understanding of contract terms as they apply to indemnities and insurance requirements Leading and motivating direct / indirect reports with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development Ability to consistently deliver to stakeholders and push the boundaries to create smarter, more sustainable solutions Generate trust and credibility with audiences through continuous, open and consistent communication Champion and drive innovation and change initiatives, focused on improving quality and effectiveness Foster and contribute towards a customer-focused climate that delivers on expectations and strengthens relationships Personal attributes: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence internally and externally at all levels Consistently model and lead on Wood’s values, working with integrity, respecting and valuing others and our communities Energy, compassion and flexibility to adapt quickly to new challenges and environments Balance of humility and self confidence Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Anticipates the environment, is forward thinking and able to see the ‘big picture’
