NLB Solutions are working with a business in St Albans that are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to support their commercial and private clients. The successful candidate will be working alongside an experienced Financial Controller who will offer training and development. They are looking for candidates who have experience with the transactional side of accounts, credit control and assist with month end.
The business will offer training and support, working closely with an experienced Financial Controller. The client will consider candidates who are qualified by experience and no longer studying. The role is full time office based in the Head Office.
Experience:
* Purchase ledger
* Inputting invoices into accounts software / CRM system
* Dealing with supplier queries
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Weekly payment run by bacs
* Sales invoicing, retail and contract
* Credit control
* Preparing ad-hoc sales invoices
* Managing IRP (Dealer) invoice processing and credit control
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Bank reconciliations
* Preparing CIS deduction statements & records for review & submission
* Weekly cash and sales reporting
* Assisting with month end processing & reporting
* Processing employees’ business expense claims
* VAT return preparation
Person Spec:
* Previous experience in a similar accounting role
* All aspects of Sales and Purchase Ledger
* Have excellent attention to detail & excel spreadsheet experience is essential
* Experience of SAP would be preferable, but not essential
* Confident communications as will be required to deal with both interna staff members and external clients
