Metrology Application Engineer - UK Base
Our client is a long-established leader in precision measurement solutions,hiring an Applications Engineer to support their continued growth across the UK manufacturing sector.
With over 30 years of experience, our client supplies world-class optical and multi-sensor measuring equipment that enables manufacturers to collect accurate, real-time data during production. Their technology helps reduce waste, improve throughput, and elevate quality control standards across industries including automotive, aerospace, and medical devices.
The Role
This is a customer-facing engineering role focused on delivering technical expertise and hands-on support. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their metrology needs and provide tailored solutions using advanced measurement systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing applications support across the UK
* Assessing complex technical requirements and proposing solutions
* Supporting sales with product demos (on-site and remote)
* Delivering training on metrology software and measurement techniques
* Leading metrology projects, including program generation and R&R testing
* Installing software components of measurement systems
* Executing sub-contract measurement services
* Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
* Attending trade shows and marketing events

* Must have proven experience in metrology or high-precision engineering
* Strong communication and customer-facing skills
* Self-motivated, professional, and adaptable
* Comfortable working independently and managing workload
* Willingness to travel across the UK
* Familiarity with Windows-based systems and technical software
