A well-established, family‑run financial planning firm in Torquay is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing team. Operating across financial planning (SJP) and mortgages & protection (Quilter), the business manages c.£85m in client funds and offers a supportive, collaborative working environment.
This is a key position for an experienced paraplanner who enjoys solving complex cases and acting as a “fixer” when things go wrong. Working closely with the business owner, the role focuses on managing complex administration, particularly with the SJP administration centre, allowing advisers to focus on new client growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Resolving complex and problematic cases, particularly via the SJP administration centre
* Handling matters involving solicitors, trusts and probate
* Managing day‑to‑day servicing for existing clients (switches, income allocation, premium increases, withdrawals)
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression
About You
* Level 4 qualification highly desirable
* Strong technical knowledge (IHT, chargeable gains, complex planning)
* Experience with SJP systems highly advantageous
* Proficient in Salesforce and iBusiness
* Confident working independently while being a strong team player
* Hybrid working (not fully remote)
Package & Benefits
* Salary up to £60,000
* 4‑day working week (either Monday or Friday off)
