Location: Birmingham Position: Full-Time Start Date: September 2025 Salary: Competitive – based on experience and qualifications A warm, welcoming, and supportive secondary school in Birmingham is searching for passionate Behaviour Mentors and 1:1 SEND Support Staff to join their team. The Role In this role, you’ll work closely with students who have a range of needs, including SEND and behavioural challenges. Whether it’s 1:1 support or small group work, you’ll help to: Build positive relationships Boost engagement in learning Support social and emotional development Encourage progress both in and out of the classroom What You’ll Be Doing Providing tailored 1:1 support for students with SEND Supporting behaviour management and personal development Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams Helping students access learning and achieve their potential Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning space Who We’re Looking For Experience with children or young people in schools, alternative provision, or residential care A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Degree-level qualification desirable (not essential) A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs Why Join This School?
