What you’ll be doing and the context of the Head Office functions across departments, including Executive Board through to support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, Legal and Company Secretariat. There is also a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Group Head of Sales you will play a key part in ensuring the Group Sales Team supports driving divisional performance, compliance and the overall Sales Strategy defined by the Group Head of Sales. This role will manage the North and South Group Sales Manager positions and the Sales Coordinator role, providing clarity on priorities. Fostering strong divisional and inter-departmental relationships to ensure effective collaboration is essential when delivering on new projects and initiatives.
You will be expected to:
* Effectively manage the two Group Sales Management roles. Review divisional performance against KPIs and compliance, and review action plans where appropriate.
* Ensure the Sales Coordinator delivers against objectives to fully support the team with administrative duties and ad hoc tasks.
* Maintain Group Sales policy and procedure, ensuring accuracy of information updates communicated to the Sales team and keeping the Brick document updated with due diligence.
* Represent Group Sales in new projects/initiatives, collaborating with other disciplines where appropriate. Lead in providing guidance to the wider Sales team and proactively secure resources when required.
* Monitor and evaluate the implementation of sales initiatives, providing insights to improve performance and drive continuous improvement.
* Attend regular site visits with the team/divisions to drive performance improvements and compliance. Ensure outcomes are shared with the Regional Managing Director, Managing Director, Sales Director and Group team as applicable.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, to ensure cohesive execution of sales initiatives and adapt strategies to meet market demands.
* Drive sales strategy and improvements agreed with the Group Head of Sales, ensuring collaboration with the Group Sales Team. Lead on sales improvements when necessary.
* Oversee all Group Sales schemes, review adoption and performance, and develop and roll out new schemes where applicable.
* Be responsible for all reporting, presentations and papers, ensuring team collaboration to meet deadlines.
* Investigate Group customer complaints as applicable, identifying trends and addressing issues or risks where appropriate.
* Manage third-party suppliers, collaborating with the team to drive improvements and future developments.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
* Strong sales background with a sound understanding of marketing.
* Training/coaching experience would be useful but not essential.
* Good working knowledge of Homebuilder / Microsoft Dynamics.
* Ability to present to large audiences, both face to face and virtually.
* Flexibility for travel is essential.
* Ability to influence at a senior and cross-functional level.
* Frequent, clear, concise communication with third party suppliers.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for building and maintaining relationships across various levels of the organization.
* Results-oriented and proactive, with the ability to adapt strategies to achieve desired outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrates leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching and developing the team.
* Strategic thinker with a practical approach to problem-solving and execution.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
