Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: We require a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. We require proven experience designing and delivering architectures for IIoT and OT systems, ideally within utilities, manufacturing, or similar environments. We require strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, telemetry systems, and industrial communication protocols. We require experience with IIoT platforms, IIoT protocols such as MQTT, and edge-to-cloud architectures. We require familiarity with cybersecurity principles for OT and IIoT environments, including zero-trust models. We require excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. We require the ability to work through complex, multi-vendor landscapes and enforce technical standards. We prefer understanding of water industry standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: We define and maintain IIoT and OT architecture guardrails, standards, and reference designs. We lead the design of end-to-end IIoT solutions, from edge processing and connectivity through to cloud integration and analytics. We assure internal and partner designs against agreed standards, providing governance and technical authority. We collaborate with OT engineers, IT architects, cyber security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant solutions. We identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, supporting proof-of-concept initiatives and enterprise adoption.
