This is a unique opportunity to take ownership from the very start - overseeing the home's registration with Ofsted, recruiting a new team, and shaping the culture, ethos, and direction of the service to ensure it provides high-quality, trauma-informed care.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the setup, registration, and ongoing management of the home. You'll ensure compliance with Ofsted standards while creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where children and young people can thrive.
You'll recruit, lead, and develop a new team of care professionals and set high expectations for practice, safeguarding, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the registration process and ensure all Ofsted requirements are met.
* Manage the day-to-day running of the 4-bed home in line with statutory regulations and company standards.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
* Recruit, train, and support a new, motivated, and trauma-informed staff team.
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, families, and partner agencies.
* Implement robust monitoring, recording, and quality assurance systems.
* Drive continuous improvement to achieve a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
* Participate in on-call duties and contribute to wider organisational development.
About You
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children's residential setting.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
* In-depth knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
* Proven experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* A proactive, resilient, and inspirational manager who leads by example.
* A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes and shaping a new home built on compassion and quality.
