Job Description
* As the Financial Controller, oversee the operations of the Accounting & Finance department.
* Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organisation.
* Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis and information reports.
* Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial information analysis.
* Ensure compliance with local accounting standards
* Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
* Lead a team of 7 individuals in the finance team.
* Support financial decision-making information by collecting, analysing, investigating, and reporting financial data.
* Drive continuous improvement across finance systems
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Financial Controller' should have:
* A degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE
* Proven experience in a managerial position within a Finance department.
* Proficiency in major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
* Demonstrable experience of delivering change in a fast paced environment.
* Experience of working with and building interrogation tools within PowerBI would be highly advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
