We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Mobile Electrician in the North West of England. The role will involve travel across the region visiting various sites from HMPYOI Styal in Wilmslow up to HMP Haverigg in Cumbria.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00.

Job Responsibilities
What you will do:
* Planned and preventative electrical maintenance.
* Diagnosing and replacing failed domestic electrical components.
* Carry out electrical inspection tests and install electrical equipment and wiring across the prisons.
* The security of plant, tools and materials and for the safe use of vehicles if needed.
* Responsibility for wearing all PPE, for own health and safety and that of others and the public.
* Responsible for achieving own performance targets.
* Responsible for the management and authorisation of high/low-risk maintenance activity on the FM estate using the Amey Safety Rules as the Authorised/Responsible persons (AP/RP). Training will be provided.
* Other tasks as required by the Site.
Requirements
What you will bring:
* Appropriate technical qualification eg City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above
* BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition.
* Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing.
* Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations.
* Capable of working at heights.
* Ability to work alone and use initiative.
* Good all-round project management knowledge.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with a proficiency in IT.
* Experience in managing stakeholder relationships at all levels IT skills.
