Job Description
We are recruiting a Design Technology Teacher for a secondary school in Cheshire, open to any DT specialism.
This role involves teaching a range of DT topics across KS3–KS4, planning engaging lessons, and supporting pupils with practical tasks in the workshop and classroom. You’ll work alongside a supportive department and have access to well-equipped DT facilities.
The school welcomes applications from teachers with diverse DT backgrounds and offers strong support for early-career teachers.
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold QTS and have experience teaching DT at secondary level
• Have a specialism in any DT field—Product Design, Graphics, Engineering, Food, Textiles, or Resistant Materials
• Deliver creative and practical lessons that develop pupils’ design and technical skills
• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a safe workshop environment
• Be motivated, organised, and passionate about design and innovation
